It’s hard to imagine a situation where you may require emergency care in a residential aged care home, however this can occur for a number of reasons. For some people it may be needed after an unplanned hospital stay following a fall or event which means you or a significant other can no longer be cared for at home. Or in some instances, as a carer you yourself may be unwell and unable to care for them.
Emergency respite care will need to be organised through the government’s support portal called Carer Gateway but our experienced and compassionate team are available and here to help.
