About the role
Estia Health is looking to hear from experienced Senior Financial Accountants seeking a new challenge. Working in a dynamic and growing sector, this role will be responsible for providing high quality and timely accounting information with a focus on data integrity.

Key focus areas of the role include:

  • Providing high quality and timely financial analysis and reports
  • Month end processing, including preparation of the monthly Financial Board Papers
  • Monitoring and improving internal control policies and procedures
  • Robust balance sheet maintenance and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assisting with external audit activities (planning through to delivery of material)
  • Ensuring effective use of the general ledger system, including identifying and implementing improvements and efficiency gains
  • Contributing to business improvement initiatives
  • Completing Ad-hoc requests and reports in a timely manner
  • Providing support and mentorship to the finance team

About you
We are seeking an experienced Accountant who prides themselves on their technical abilities and is detailed oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture.  In addition, the successful candidate will love complex problem-solving and drive process improvements to deliver positive change to the business.

To be successful in the role you must have the following:

  • Accounting qualification and CA or CPA qualification
  • Minimum 7 years’ accounting experience in a large professional organisation (Ideally in a similar role)
  • Experience in Aged Care is preferable, but not essential
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Epicor (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with multiple levels within an organisation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to ‘think on your feet’
  • Drive for excellence, with demonstrated experience in implementing best practise processes
  • A team player – willingness to support and help others within the business
