Prior to arriving at Estia Health Werribee, Brian had no interest in gardening, but when he came to us, his window faced two raised garden beds. He noticed at the time that these beds were not being used. So, he asked if he could start a veggie garden. Naturally, we said yes.

Brian never had a passion for growing veggies or gardening, but he now loves to watch his veggies growing from his window, harvesting them and giving them to the Chef to use in his cooking for the home.

Every season our Lifestyle Coordinators sit with Brian to determine what veggies he would like to grow; he chooses something different each season. Celery was a trial and wow, what a result.

Brian has planted his summer seedlings, has chosen apple cucumber this year as something different and he is looking forward to seeing the results. He tells us that his garden is his focus and his is so appreciative of the support he gets from the staff in making his veggie garden a reality.
