Ongoing Employment

 

In the course of your employment with Estia Health, we will collect personal information about you. 

The types of information we collect may include names, contact details, date and place of birth, gender, emergency contact information, resume data, right to work status, educational history, employment history, demographic information, tax file number, sensitive information (such as your professional or trade association memberships, union memberships, criminal history), details relating to your passport, birth certificate, change of name/marriage certificate, Australian citizenship certificate, VEVO Certificate and information in any relevant screening or background checks, banking details for salary processing, tax information, superannuation details, and any other financial information relevant to remuneration and benefits, records related to job performance, including appraisals, training records, and any disciplinary or grievance procedures and records related to the use of Estia Health's technological resources.

In the course of your employment or engagement with us, we will collect, use and disclose your personal information (which may include sensitive information) for purposes related to your ongoing employment or engagement with us, and our operational and administrative purposes.  

These purposes may relate to personnel engagement, feedback, surveys, training, identification, conduct, performance, management and monitoring, leave, job fitness, disciplinary matters, resignation, termination, payroll and benefits (such as taxation, banking and superannuation), management of qualifications, licences and memberships (such as union and professional or trade association memberships), conducting checks such as criminal history, background and other screening checks, and collecting certain vaccination and other health information. 

Other purposes for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information may relate to the management of the Estia Health's facilities, IT infrastructure and other assets, such as your attendance and use of those assets, the security of those assets, work, health and safety matters relating to those assets, including CCTV and other surveillance, and purposes relating to insurance, legal, regulatory and compliance obligations and other administrative purposes. 

In some cases, we are required or authorised by law to collect certain personal information, including by the Fair Work Act, Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act, Taxation Administration Act, Aged Care Act, Work Health and Safety legislation.

Without the personal information we require we may not be able to effectively manage (or in limited circumstances permitted by law, continue) your employment or engagement.

We may disclose personal information for the purposes described above to our related entities, product and service providers (such as those performing background and screening checks, surveillance and training services, survey development and implementation services and other feedback collection services), and other relevant third parties such as our agents, contractors, advisors and law enforcement and regulatory agencies. Generally, these parties are located in Australia but this can vary and we may disclose personal information to such recipients overseas where permitted by privacy laws.
