By enquiring as a new customer directly with one of our homes, Estia Health will collect personal information about you.  

 

The types of information we collect depends on the nature of your enquiry. For example you may:

  • request a New Enquiry Pack or otherwise enquire about becoming a resident at an Estia Health home in which case we will generally collect:
    • Contact Information: We collect the names and contact details (phone number and email address) of prospective residents and any individuals making inquiries on their behalf;
    • Personal Details: The prospective resident's name, date of birth, and place of birth are gathered to personalise our response and understand your needs better;
    • Health Information: Health-related details, including Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) approval specifics, are essential for tailoring our services to meet your health care requirements; and
    • Vaccination Status: Information regarding the vaccination status of prospective residents, including COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations, is collected to ensure the safety and well-being of our community members;
  • request that we book a tour of the home on your behalf, in which case we will generally collect: the relevant tour category, your name, your email address, your mobile phone number, your home number, details regarding your preferred length of stay (as applicable), preferred tour time and any relevant comments you wish to include with the booking; and
  • provide other adhoc information as part of your enquiry (for example, you may provide information about the way in which you intend to pay for aged care services which we may collect to provide you with further information on resident payment options and our related forms).

 

If you provide personal information about another individual you confirm to Estia Health that that individual is willing for us to handle their personal information in accordance with this Privacy Collection Statement.

 

We may use and disclose the personal information you provide (as applicable) to book and manage your tour, to manage your enquiry, to provide you with a New Enquiry Pack, to provide you with other general information and Estia Health forms relating to your enquiry, as well as for other purposes permitted by law. 

 

We may disclose the personal information to third parties such our related entities, agents, contractors, service providers as necessary in relation to your enquiry.  Generally these parties are located in Australia, but this can vary and we may disclose your personal information to overseas recipients where permitted by privacy laws.          

 

If you do not provide us with the personal information that we request, we may be unable to provide you with the assistance or services that you are seeking.
