Yarra Valley’s majestic affair!

Taking turns to give residents and visitors a ride around the facility and local streets, the visiting carriage was drawn by two beautifully cared for draught horses.

Those waiting for their turn in the carriage were spoilt with a scrumptious Devonshire tea, made by the home’s very own chef, Samantha, who freshly baked delicious scones on the day. Danish pasties and fruit platters were also enjoyed, as well as an array of beverages.

Residents sat together under the shade of the awnings enjoying a yarn, fondly reminiscing their own horses from back in the day.

“It was amazing to see the smiles on our residents’ faces,” shared Bronwyn Walburg, Activities Coordinator at Yarra Valley. “Our residents were leaping up into the seats for a ride!”

Estia’s Yarra Valley management has also extended their great thanks for the outstanding efforts by staff who helped to plan such a joyous day for their residents and community.  The team would also like to thank Samantha and the kitchen staff for catering on the day, and the Cleaning and Lifestyle teams for all their tremendous efforts behind the scene.
