About the role 
Estia Health Mudgeeraba are looking for an Executive Chef Manager to join our team on a Full Time basis. The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, leading the kitchen team in their daily duties.

At Estia Health, our team takes great pride in providing our residents with a great experience whilst in our care. Leading and inspiring our kitchen team, the Chef Manager is responsible for all operational aspects of the commercial kitchen in delivering outstanding dining experiences to our residents. This role also involves:

  • Managing food safety in accordance with the Food Safety Program
  • Ordering and inventory control for the kitchen
  • Resident dietary management
  • Supporting the broader hospitality team to deliver services, including through coaching, training and upskilling as required

About you 
You’ll bring to the role your passionate and caring nature and you will have:

  • Experience working in the Aged Care industry (highly regarded)
  • A robust understanding of Class One Health Care Commercial Kitchen requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering three meals a day, plus morning and afternoon teas for large groups (or other large scale catering)
  • The ability and experience to lead and develop a kitchen team 
  • Ability to prepare and present a variety of cuisines and pastries/cakes
  • A customer service focus and can-do attitude
  • Appropriate Chef and food safety supervisor qualifications
  • Experience in menu preparation and planning
  • Ability to manage textured and modified diets according to dietitian and clinical requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
  • The right to work in Australia
